Bill Allen Dickey

Bill Allen Dickey, age 73, of Clarkson, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his residence.

He was born June 6, 1949, to the late Allen Burton and Emma Davenport Dickey. He was raised with his two sisters and one brother in the mountains of North Georgia. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving from 1969 to 1971 and was a construction worker. He got saved May 27, 1986, during a revival at New Antioch Baptist Church in Georgia, where he was still a member in good standing and had taught the adult Sunday School class for 18 years.

Bill is survived by one son, Jason Allen Dickey and his wife, Sky Lynn Dickey; one granddaughter, Raita Spring Dickey Escue and her husband, Dylan Escue; two grandsons, Tom Allen Dickey and Jacob Burton Dickey; one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Blake Escue; a brother Jim Burton Dickey; two sisters, Shirley Hicks and Ruth Ann Moore and many other relative and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Munfordville with Bro. Hank Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
