Geneva I. Miller, age 92 of Clarkson, KY passed away peacefully Thursday, September 23, 2021 at her home.
She was born on August 9, 1929 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Clarence (Jack) Caswell and Anna Jane Priddy Caswell. She was saved at age 13 in Millerstown Kentucky and baptized in the Nolin River. She was a member of the Little Clifty United Methodist Church and was active with the youth group. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 81 where she served as a former chaplain. She and her husband Denny owned and operated a country general store in Bloody Ridge for many years. She was an aide at the Grayson County War Memorial Hospital and Grayson Manor. She loved singing gospel music especially, at the Clarkson United Methodist Cantata.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny R. Miller; her parents, Clarence “Jack” and Anna Jane Priddy Caswell; three brothers, Herman, William “Bill” and Everett Caswell; a grandson, Bobby Ray Oldham and a great-grandson, Aaron Barnett.
She is survived by her two daughters Shirley Miller of Hartford, KY and Ruby Mercer of Clarkson, KY; one son Larry Miller (Angie) of Upton, KY; four grandchildren, Denise Wyman, Bethany (Pat) Barnett, Daniel Miller and Tyler (Kelsey) Miller; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Dennis, Austin Carey, Harleigh Beth, Elijah and Elizabeth Barnett and two great-great-grandchildren, Beckham and Brooklyn Dennis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, September 27, 2021, at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Sean Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Clifty Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM, Sunday and after 10 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
The family requests that everyone please wear a mask and that no food be brought to the funeral home.
